Yikes! Its flooding again.

Our town is in flood, for the second time this year.
I took a heap of pics to show you but on the wrong setting :( however, my friend Anne gave me these first few pics to use, then my friend Suzy the last few. Thanks girls!
This river in flood time is the second fastest flowing river in the world. The first is the Mississippi.
A field opposite my Goddaughters house, this is photographed from her front door.
Coles car park.
The gardens outside the RSL club.
Under the bridge from a different angle

This gorgeous old factory has been turned into a furniture store. My friend Suzy Baines gave me these pics below to show the water going inside the shop. They worked for hours to raise all their goods out of flood reach and they were succesful..they didn't lose any of their stock.

Can you imagine the cleaning up that will have to happen?

This picture Suzy took just up the road from the factory.

The clean-up was the first thing I thought about, some of those poor people in Brisbane are on their third clean-up, and here we are in South Australia with not much water, although I don't think we would want as much as you are getting. Great photos Marilyn, more than what we are seeing on tv.

Hi Marilyn,
Just been catching up with all your recent news. I watched the flood news pretty closely as my family are in Port Macquarie but thankfully the Hastings River didn't flood this time. Looks like it stopped at Kempsey. Amazing photos.

I'll say a prayer and be thinking of you on Thursday. I hope all goes well with your surgery and you make a quick recovery. Thank you for your lovely comments - I can't believe I inspire you. I just accept what is and tell myself there is always someone far worse off than myself.

Thank you for letting me know that my package arrived! I am sooo relieved! I was getting concerned and thought perhaps it got lost.

Hi Marilyn, the world is really going crazy, even with the weather. I hope your daughter's house is okay. That water seems too close for comfort.

Hi Marilyn it really is heartbreaking isn't it, my sister inlaw was telling me that Kempsey looked like an island, am just pleased you were ok....
I just hope the people affected are paid by their Insurance Companies, a lot of people here in Coffs are being turned down...

Hi Marilyn, I live at Taree and we haven't seen a flood like that here for many years now. Guess we would have if we had the same amount of rain that you did. Sorry to hear you are heading for hospital...hope things come good for you.
Kind Regards
